Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
Educational & Professional Qualifications:
Master’s Degree (M.A. / M.Sc. / M.Com) from a recognized University (duly recognized by UGC) with a B.T. / B.Ed. degree from a Teacher Training Institute recognized by NCTE, maintaining a uniformly good academic career. (Note: For Hindi Teachers with a master’s degree, Hindi Sikshan Parangat and Hindi Sikshan Nishant are considered equivalent to B.Ed.).
Degrees/diplomas from off-campus study centres outside Assam not recognized by DEC under UGC are invalid, while those from KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under Gauhati University and Distance Education under Dibrugarh University are valid.
Required Experience (Any one of the following teaching milestones):
At least 15 years of service as Post Graduate Teacher in any of the provincialised Higher Secondary Schools / H.S. & M.P. Schools / Senior Secondary Schools; OR
At least 5 years of service as Vice-Principal in any of the provincialised Higher Secondary Schools / H.S. & M.P. Schools; OR
At least 17 years of teaching experience as Graduate Teacher in any provincialised High School / Higher Secondary School / H.S. & M.P. School or in combination of such schools.
Age Limit: The age of the candidate must not be more than 57 years as on 01/01/2026.
Personal Traits: Commanding personality, administrative ability, leadership skills, and integrity.
