Important Terms and Conditions

These positions are for temporary projects and are co-terminus with the project. Engagement depends on availability of funds, functional requirements and approval of the Competent Authority. Therefore, the institution is not committed to filling all advertised positions and the recruitment process may be withdrawn, cancelled or modified.

The qualification and experience should be in the relevant discipline/field and from an institution of repute. Experience should generally be acquired after obtaining the minimum essential qualification.

Persons already working in regular time-scale service under any Government Department/Organization are not eligible to apply.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview/personal discussion. Candidates have to arrange their own transportation and accommodation.

Project Tenure

Successful candidates will normally be engaged initially for a period of one year or less, depending on the project tenure and functional requirements.

The maximum term of any Project Human Resource Position across one or multiple projects, with or without breaks, will be five years.

Nature of Employment

These are project-based positions and do not provide any claim to a regular post in ICMR, its Institutes/Centres or any Government of India department.

Project staff will not acquire any right to further assignment, transfer, appointment, absorption or regularisation merely because of their engagement in the project. Regular staff benefits such as Provident Fund, Pension Scheme, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim and Staff Quarters are not admissible to project human resource positions as stated in the notification.
