Eligibility Criteria & Age Limits (As on 01-11-2026)

• Assistant Professor & Librarian:

  • Age: 21 to 38 years (General); relaxable up to 41 years for OBC/MOBC, 43 years for ST/SC, and 48 years for PwD.

  • Qualification: Master’s degree with 55% marks in a relevant subject plus NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. as per UGC 2018 regulations.

• Deputy Registrar & Deputy Controller of Examinations:

  • Qualification: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks plus 9 years of experience as Assistant Professor/equivalent or 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar.

• Finance Officer:

  • Age: Maximum 50 years.

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with 8 years experience in finance/accounts in a university/Govt setup, OR professional qualification like ICWAI/ICAI/MBA Finance with 5 years management-level experience.

• Junior Assistant & Laboratory Assistant:

  • Age: 18 to 40 years (General); relaxations applicable for reserved categories and an additional 1 year for female candidates.

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (in Science for Lab Assistant) plus Computer Proficiency certificate.

• Laboratory Bearer & Grade IV:

  • Age: 18 to 40 years (General); relaxations applicable for reserved categories and an additional 1 year for female candidates.

Selection Process Nagaon University Recruitment 2026

• Applications will be scrutinized by a Screening Committee.

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview or a written test.

• A written test will specifically be conducted for Junior Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Laboratory Bearer, and Grade IV posts.

• Shortlisting ratio for interviews/tests will be maintained at 1:7.
