ESIC Faculty Salary 2026

Selected candidates will receive consolidated remuneration along with applicable allowances.

Other allowances include NPA, DA, HRA, TA and DA on TA. Non-medical faculty members will not be entitled to NPA. The notification also states that revision of the above pay is pending and the actual remuneration may increase.

Contract Period

The initial contract period for Teaching Faculty will be 3 years. It may be extended for up to another 2 years, on a yearly basis, subject to satisfactory performance.

The maximum tenure will be 5 years, or until attaining 70 years of age, or joining of regular faculty, whichever is earlier.

Selection will be based on the walk-in interview. A merit list of selected candidates will be prepared based on the interview. Appointment letters will be issued from time to time according to the actual requirement of the institute and the merit list.

Important Terms and Conditions

The recruitment is purely contractual and selected candidates will not have any claim for regularization. Private practice is not permitted during full-time contractual engagement. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview, and hostel accommodation/quarters will not be provided.

Candidates currently in service must submit an NOC from their employer. The contractual engagement can be terminated by either side by giving one month’s prior notice. The selected candidate must also furnish a ₹30,000 DD/Banker’s Cheque in favour of “ESI Fund Account No. 1”, payable at Guwahati, as a security deposit. If the candidate resigns or terminates the contract within nine months of commencement, the security amount will be forfeited.
