Charaideo District Recruitment 2026: The Office of the District Commissioner, Charaideo (District Disaster Management Authority) has issued an official advertisement for the recruitment of Information Assistant positions in the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) on a purely contractual basis.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

• Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate or equivalent degree from a recognized University (preference given to candidates with 2–5 years of experience working in DEOCs).

  • At least 6 months Certificate/Diploma course in Computer Application or proven skills in Computer Application (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Surfing, Assamese Typing, etc.).

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in spoken and written Assamese and English.

• Residency: Candidate must be a resident of Charaideo district.

• Age Limit: Must not be below 21 years and above 35 years as on 1st January 2026 (relaxable for SC/ST candidates as per rules).

Duties & Responsibilities (Summary)

• Managing 24×7 DEOC operations, maintaining logbooks, and handing over shift summaries.

• Verifying and cross-checking incoming emergency/disaster information with relevant authorities (SDO, Circle Officers, Police, Fire Services).

• Disseminating daily reports, rainfall/water level data during flood seasons, and early warnings (FLEWS, FRIMS) to SEOC and designated officials.

Selection Process

• The selection will be based on a Written Test and/or Interview.

• The date, time, and venue will be notified in due course on the District Administration website and the office notice board.

• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the selection process.
