Negative Marking
There is a penalty for wrong answers in both Preliminary and Main objective examinations.
For each wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. There is no penalty for unanswered questions.
Final Merit List
For Generalists, the marks obtained in the Main Examination Objective Test and Interview will be considered in the ratio of:
Main Examination : Interview = 75 : 25
The Preliminary Examination and Descriptive Test marks will not be considered for the final merit list.
For Hindi Officers, the Main Examination, including Objective and Descriptive Tests, and Interview will be considered in the ratio of 75:25. Preliminary Examination marks will not be considered for final selection.
Interview UIIC AO Recruitment 2026
Candidates who qualify the Competitive Online Main Examination will be called for the Interview, subject to the company’s shortlisting criteria.
The Interview carries 25% weightage, while the applicable online examination carries 75% weightage for final merit. Candidates called for interview must submit documents supporting their age, educational qualification, category and other eligibility requirements.
Posting and Transfer
The vacancies are substantially in the Western and Southern Zones, and selected candidates are likely to be posted mostly in these zones.
The initial period of posting will be for a minimum of five years, and requests for transfer to a place of choice will not be entertained during this period. Candidates can also be posted or transferred to any location in India according to the company’s requirements.
Probation
Selected candidates who are medically fit may be appointed as Administrative Officer (Scale-I) on one-year probation.
During probation, officers may be required to undergo theoretical/practical training and must pass the non-life Licentiate Examination conducted by the Insurance Institute of India for confirmation of service.
Guarantee Bond
Before joining, selected candidates appointed on the regular payroll are required to undertake to serve the company for a minimum period of five years including probation.
If a candidate resigns before completing the bond period, the applicable liquidated damages and onboarding/integration cost will apply as specified in the notification. The onboarding and integration cost mentioned is ₹35,000.
