IASST Veterinary Consultant Vacancy 2025 – Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.) in any relevant field and Animal Husbandry.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in care, handling, breeding, and maintenance of laboratory animals, particularly inbred/transgenic strains.

Desirable Qualification:

• Ph.D. in Veterinary Science with at least 2 years of experience in a GLP-like experimental animal house facility.
• Experience with rodent handling, use of IVC, ACS, BDS systems, and rodent anaesthesia chambers.
• Knowledge in preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as per GLP/regulatory norms.

IASST Veterinary Consultant Job Role & Responsibilities

• Primary care and monitoring of animal health.
• Handling and maintenance of Albino Rats (Wistar), Albino Mice (Swiss), Guinea Pigs (Duncan Hartley), and Rabbits (New Zealand White).
• Ensuring GLP standards in the experimental animal house facility.
• Supporting research and animal welfare as per institutional norms.
