Eligibility Criteria for GIS Assistant
Age Limit
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 45 years (as on 01/01/2025)
Educational Qualification (Essential)
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geology, Mathematics, Geo-informatics, Physics, Computer Science or related field with Certificate/Diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing or in Geo-informatics.
OR - M.Tech/M.Sc. in GIS & Remote Sensing / Geo-informatics.
OR - MCA/M.A./M.Sc. in Geography, Geology, Mathematics, Environmental Science with Geo-informatics as one of the subjects or with Certificate/Diploma in GIS/Remote Sensing/Geo-informatics.

Desirable Qualifications
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, Global Mapper, and other GIS software.
- Familiarity with spatial data formats like Shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML.
- Skills in geospatial analysis, data collection, image processing.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Prior GIS-related work experience or internship is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
- Digitization of geospatial data for cadastral and non-cadastral villages.
- Quality assurance checks for accuracy and completeness.
- Preparation of GIS-related reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
- Providing GIS-related technical support to teams and end-users.
- Drone photo/HRSI interpretation.
Required Skills
- Software Skills: Arc Desktop, Arc Pro, AutoCAD, Global Mapper.
- Computer Skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs.
- Languages: Proficiency in Assamese, Hindi, and English.
Experience Preference
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
- RCCC trained candidates with GIS command will get preference.
