Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released the official notification for APSC Consumer Commission Recruitment 2025. Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for appointment to the posts of Member of Assam State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (Non-Judicial) and Member of District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Government of Assam.
The recruitment will be conducted as per the Consumer Protection Rules, 2020. Selected candidates will hold office for a term of four years or till attaining the age limit prescribed by the rules.

APSC Consumer Commission Recruitment 2025: Pay Scale
Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,10,000 per month
Grade Pay: Rs. 15,700
Pay Band: PB-4
Other allowances will be admissible as per Assam State Government rules.
APSC Consumer Commission Recruitment 2025: Educational Qualification
Candidates must have completed Graduation in regular mode from a UGC-recognized institution.
Degrees obtained through distance mode will not be considered.
Applicants must upload all semester or year-wise mark sheets and certificates reflecting subjects studied.
Experience Requirement
Candidates must have minimum 10 years of professional experience in one or more of the following fields:
- Consumer affairs
- Law
- Public administration
- Economics
- Commerce
- Industry
- Finance
- Management
- Engineering
- Technology
- Public health
- Medicine
Relevant experience certificates must be uploaded.
Candidates from Law background must submit Bar Council registration and practice certificate.
Age Limit
As on 01 January 2025:
- State Consumer Commission Member: Minimum 40 years
- District Consumer Commission Member: Minimum 35 years
Age will be calculated based on Class X or Class XII admit card or certificate showing date of birth.
Selection Process
The selection process will be conducted as per rules notified on the APSC official website.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for written test and or interview.
